Something I'll never forget ..

Hey Guys!
I'm so sorry that it has been such a long time since last time I wrote!
I've just been pretty busy ..
We have a lot of home works and stuff to do at school because the exams are so close ..
Anyway, now I can tell about my trip to france!
Many would think that 22 hours is A LOT of hours to drive in a bus, and I have to admit that I thought it was a long time too, even though I'm used to drive long trips, but it actually went pretty good.
I mean, once we hit the road we just had a really nice time, and the time just went by pretty fast.
We talked and laughed a lot, and I don't think we could've had a better start.
When we came to the students hostel called Hôme Dome we found our rooms and packed out our things, and then we went out to see the city!
It was quite big, so of course we didn't check out all of it, but the part we saw was really nice!
We saw a lot of things the days we were there, and we had also plenty of time for it.
One day we went to a museum about an old farm. It was pretty cool because it was very different from normal museums. They had made it so you should listen, smell and see at the same time. The hearing part was quite difficult because we only recognized a few words evert once in a while, but fortunately our teacher translated, so it went ok.
We saw a cheese "farm" where they made cheese, and that was pretty cool too. They showed us how they made the cheese and all that stuff, and we even got to see all the cows.
We also saw a volcano museum where we had to try a lot of stuff. It was quite fun because it wasn't like those normal museums either, it was a museum where you could go and try a lot of stuff like watching 4D movies or go into caves and all that kind of stuff.
We also went to a water fabric, a cave museum, went to laser games (which was SO much fun because I'd never tried it before!) went bowling, ice skating and a lot of stuff!
But the best thing was the dripstone cave.
I'd never been into one of those caves before, so I was really excited about going, and I can tell you it was beautiful!
There were all kinds of nature made sculptures and red water and all kinds of cool stuff!

Now this was really cool!
They made sculptures with the water!
They put a little sculpture or something on to the shelves, then the water comes down on them and after a month or tree (or even about a year for some, it depends on what it is) it turns into stone!
It's so cool!

I bought this cute dolphin sculpture, and it's really nice because it twinkles too!
But that's just one of the maaaanyyyyy souvenirs I bought.
Also, one of the things I loved the most about it was the landscape ..
It was just SO beautiful!
I could just sit and look at it all day long if they would let me!
I'm quite a nature-thinking-quite girl, so I love to take walks in the nature and just enjoy the nature and notice all the beautiful things about it, and just think about a lot of stuff ..

I don't know about you, but I could definitely get used to looking at something like that every day!
But all in all it was a really great trip that I will definitely never forget, and it will be something I will look back at and smile at and say "yea, those were the times".
Hehe :)

Now I guess that was it for now ...

A fantabulous trip to France!

Uh, I'm so excited!
This afternoon I'm going to France, but I have to admit that I haven't really realized it yet ..
I mean, I'm packing and thinking about it all the time because I have so many things to do before and all that stuff, but still I can't really seem to realize that I'm actually going ..
Today .. :O
In my mind it's just something that's happening far away in the future in the spring (Which my mind won't seem to realize either) So I kind of feel like I have lots of time to do everything, when I really don't.
But I know it's gonna be absolutely great, because I'm going with my french team, which by the way is some of my best friends, so we're gonna have so much fun!
I also went to Paris last year in the easter, and that was SO great!
So I can't imagine how great this is gonna be, cause we were only in Paris for about 4 days, but this time we're gonna be there in whole 8 days!
But there's also a little catch ..
We have to drive 24 hours in a bus, each way ..
But I think it's gonna be fun either way!
After all I have the best friends in the whole world to entertain me all the way, right? ;)
It's with those people that I laugh the most, and I just feel so great when I'm with them, so I'm not complaining!

Unfortunately I haven't heard anymore about USA .. :/
But I guess it's gonna come.
Hopefully soon! :)
I just can't wait to get my host family and get to know them and all that stuff, it's gonna be so great!

But I have to leave now, because have to pack  my suitcase!
Hah, I don't even know if all my stuff can fit in there .. :)
But I'll try to make it!

These last couple of days have been pretty good.
Especially yesterday was really great!
In this week we have something called "feature week" where the teachers choose a subject we do all week and stuff like that.
(of course) are the 9th grades going to have exam preparation, but I think it's kind of good, because I think it's nice you get to know how it all works.
But because we have this special week school finishes at 1 o'clock every day, which is so great because then I have sooooooo much free time!
I don't even have any homeworks!
Anyway ..
Our teacher is a pretty good teacher, and he just decided that we had to go to the city yesterday and to the cinema today.
It was really great yesterday because we had a really nice time, and we laughed and talked a lot and it was just so cozy!
Then when we were heading home, me and my best friend drove home to my place and we hung out ALL day long!
We made dinner together and stuff like that, and it was really great!
In the evening this program about High School year came in the tv, and I can tell you that I'm actually pretty scared ..
I mean ..
I know it probably can't happen with EF, but there were kids who had been placed at host families who didn't even want to have an exchange student, they said that they had practically been forced to have them by the church.
Two kids had also been sexually abused ...
One of them was a 16 year old boy and he had been placed at this single male, and his story was really scary ...
He told about how his host dad walked around naked in the house all the time, and how the host dad said that the boy had to have the door open every time he took a shower, and the host dads room was right across the hall so he could lie in his bed and just stare at the boy while he was showering ....
Also the host dad had wanted him to walk around naked in the house too, and he said that if the boy was sad or felt homesick or something, he could always come into his bed so he could comfort him ...
and he slept naked ....
And then when they went on a camping trip where they had to lay in a tent and then suddenly the host dad started touching the boy ..
like ...
the private places ...
It was really scary and I just can't believe that something like that could happen ..
But do you wanna know the worst part?
The agency he was traveling with gave him 30.000 just to shut up ......
I mean, can you believe that????
I think it's really insane ...
I just don't hope anything like that is going to happen to me ...
But I'm positive about it, and I haven't changed my mind yet ;)

The beginning to everything ..

I have a lot of new things to tell you!
or ... a lot and a lot ... I have things to tell you!
First I wanna tell about this weekend.
I'm not sure if you know this, but I'm taking french classes, and in connection to that we had a french weekend.
I can already guess that most (if not all) of you don't know what it is, so I'm gonna explain it.
French weekend is where our french class and some other french classes go to a school in a weekend where we have french lessons pretty much all saturday and all sunday.
I know that to you it may sound really boring, but I can tell you that it's the exact opposite!
It's so much fun!
We have a lot of classes, but they teach us french in a very fun way!
First of all the teachers are really great, and they have a thing about making us laugh all the time in class, which makes everything so much more fun.
But second of all, they make a lot of funny games and ways to learn french, which we haven't tried before.
Then there's the food ...
Well I don't know what to say, other than it's absolutely amazing!
They had this french cook, and he makes the most delicious french food ever!
Also in the evening, that's where all the fun stuffs starts.
The last lesson ends at about 17.00 o'clock, and then we have a little while where we can just hang and do whatever we want.
but after that we're in these groups where we made those fun games!
on french of course ;)
And then we eat dinner, and after dinner we do a lot of fun games with one of the teachers again, but this time everyone is together.
It's so much fun, and this year my class were the oldest, and we've now known each other for like 3 years, so we're pretty close now, so that just resulted in that we had even more fun than the other years!
I've seriously never laughed so much in my entire life, and I really wish that, that weekend would just last forever.
Especially because it was the last one, and everything is over soon ....
I think it's weird and also pretty scary to think about how fast we're moving out of that comfort zone we're used to be in ..
I mean, my entire life I've lived home with my parents, I've gone to public school and I've had a great life with not too many choices and stuff like that.
Now suddenly I'm about to move to the states for a year, I'm going out of the public school, I have to say goodbye to all the friends I've had my entire life and I have to decide what to do with my life ...
I mean ..
Isn't that pretty scary to think about?
Everything begins now, and there's no way back now ..
I think it's really scary to think about saying goodbye to everything I've been used to, but in some way I also can't wait till I can start over and really begin my life.
I can't help but wonder how my life is going to be ..
How I'm gonna turn out and stuff like that ..
But I guess we all do that sometimes ;)

I think I'm gonna go to bed now, but I promise that I will tell you the rest of the things tomorrow ;)

An amazing day!

Wauw, I can tell you that yesterday was just a fantastic day!
First of all it was really good weather, the sun was shining and all that stuff, really nice!
Then I had to go to the mall to buy just dance 3, and I also bought a smoothie because I loooooooveeeee smoothies :)
Then when I had to go pick up my best friend on the way home, I met one of my other really good friends and we talked for quite a while!
Then when I got home with my best friend this really nice surprise was in our mailbox!
My two shirts!!
You know the ones I told you about the other day ..
I got so happy, and (of course) I just ripped off the plastic around them, and had to try them immediately!

After that I was going to the theater and I can tell you, it was completely magical!
We sat above the stage so we could just see everything, and it was just so cool!
But not alone was the play fantastic, the theater was amazing too!
I've only been there once before and that was when I was about 6, so I don't remember that much ..
But the curtains were those red royal things, and the floor was made of marble, they had these amazing and really beautiful chandeliers!
I was blown back over because it was all so noble!
But I had a really great day!

Training, training and more training!

I've just been training, and I can tell you that it feels soooooo good!
I'm kind of tired now, but it was worth it!
Some years ago I was an elite swimmer and I trained 5 times a week + contests in the weekend, so I didn't really have time for anything else that school and swimming ..
In the end I began to think that it all got too much and that I had to give up on too many things just to swim, so I stopped. (It was also half because of my trainer, but that's a whole other story!)
Anyway ..
Since I stopped I wasn't that good to keep working out.
I did it, just not as often as I should be doing it.
But now I decided to do something about it, so now I've begun to train 3-4 times a week.
It's nice because we have a training machine in our basement so I can just go down and train whenever I have time.
But I still like to go swimming sometimes when I have time ..
Besides, I have to look just a little bit good for the summer, right? ;)
And I guess I'm also kind of hoping that I will loose just a little bit weight before I'm going to france in the easter holiday ..
But I guess I just have to keep on going and then (hopefully) it will all come eventually ;)

A fantabulous day!!

Hey guys!!!!
I'm sooooooo happy today!
Honestly I'm not sure why ...
Maybe it has something to do with that I just don't like winter, and the spring is finally coming!!
It's such a lovely day!
The sun has been shining all day, and I could wear my spring jacket without freezing at all! 
Unfortunately with the spring coming, that also means that my allergy is coming ..
But screw that, the spring is worth it!! 


Anyway, now there is only 134 days back till I'm going on high school, and I really can't wait anymore!
I can't stop thinking about it all the time!
On one side I really can't wait, but it's actually also kind of scary ...
But exciting beats scary ;)
But it has already become a really big part of my life ..
Everyday I'm talking to a lot of other students who are also going, and they are just so nice!
I actually also bought two shirts with the american flag on yesterday!

If you ask me they're pretty cool :)
